Peter Ryan, Consul General of Ireland together with Rosa Chan, the new Chair of the Irish Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong, invite you to join Special 'Insiders' talk on Brexit with Conall McDevitt, CEO of Hume Brophy one of Europe’s leading Corporate Communications, Government Relations & Investor Relations consultancies. The Consulate works hand in hand with the Chamber on a range of initiatives & one of the highlights has been the 'Insiders' Series' which to date has featured 'fireside chats' with Jim Thompson (Crown Worldwide), Niamh Bushnell (Dublin Commissioner for Start-ups), Denis McCarthy (Fexco), Allan Zeman ('Father of Lan Kwai Fong') & Sean O' Sullivan (SOS Ventures).

The next speaker in the Insiders' Series will be Conall McDevitt, who is well known in Ireland & the EU having 20+ years’ experience of strategic communications, politics & public affairs in Britain, Ireland and Brussels. He served as the SDLP’s Director of Communications during the Good Friday Agreement talks in Northern Ireland, as a special adviser to the Minister for Agriculture & Rural Development during the first power-sharing government & as a Member of the Legislative Assembly & the SDLP’s leadership team in recent years. Previously Conall held advisory positions in the Irish Government & the European Parliament.

Conall has also had a successful private sector career, as Senior Account Director for Fleishman-Hillard International Communications and MD (Ireland) of Weber Shandwick from 2006 to 2010.

He is an authority on Brexit & is advising many EU & multinational firms through his firm's offices in the UK, Brussels, Paris, Berlin and Dublin.
