The Consulate General of Ireland in São Paulo was delighted to participate in the first Europe Day celebrations in the city

For the first time in São Paulo, events were held throughout the city to celebrate Europe Day.

The Consul General of Portugal hosted an event to mark Europe Day which was attended by Ambassador of the European Union H.E. Ana Paula Zacarias, Ambassador of Ireland, H.E. Brian Glynn, and Consul General Sharon Lennon, in addition to many EU colleagues and Brazilian interlocutors.

The event schedule also included a working lunch with the Fernando Henrique Cardoso Foundation and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and a EuroCamaras Seminar focused on the important relationship between Brasil and the European Union. Ambassador Glynn and COnsul General Lennon participated in both events.

These events were complemented by a festival of European Cinema in Brazil, which saw Irish award wining film "His and Hers" shown in Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Vitória and Brasília.
