Irish artist James Concagh designs installation in cooperation with the Sao Paulo Metropolitan Train Company
The Consulate General of Ireland in São Paulo supported Irish James Concagh in this project which involved workers of the Metropolitan Train Company.
Consul General Sharon Lennon attended the official opening of an installation designed by Irish artist James Concagh to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Espresso Leste (Eastern Express) rail line.
The impressive mural entitled “Rastro Urbano” (Urban Trail) measures 20 meters by 2.5 meters, and will be permanently located at the entrance of the train station. It is the result of innovative collaboration between James Concagh and employees of the Metropolitan Train Company, who together completed the piece over three weekends in May 2015.
The project was supported by the Consulate General of Ireland in São Paulo and the São Paulo Metropolitan Train Company.
