The Embassy of Ireland is pleased to support the Irish Community Players in their organisation of an entertaining and thought-provoking afternoon of discussion, music and poetry, to commemorate the centenary of the 1916 Irish Rising.
The Irish Community Players have assembled an impressive list of guest speakers who will endeavour to shed some light upon the events of Easter 1916 and participants involved in the Rising, as well as to explore its significance for Irish, Australian, and world history.

Father Frank Brennan, Professor of Law, Australian Catholic University.
Dr Val Noone, historian and Honorary Fellow, school of Historical and Philosophical Studies, University of Melbourne.
Mr Michael McKinley, Lecturer Department of Political Science & International Relations ANU.
Ms Ursula Stephens former Labor Senator.
Professor Ronan McDonald, School of Humanities and Languages UNSW.
