Irish attendance at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange

Ambassador Kavanagh and Pat Lardner of Irish Funds (IF) closed the 19 January trading session at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The HK Exchange Chairman CK Chao hosted a major Seminar at the Exchange. It was organised by Irish Finds, facilitated by Ireland's COnsulate General in Hong Kong and was well attended by some 250 industry professionals.

Keynote speaker was ASG Neil Ryan of Ireland's Department of Finance who led concurrently Ireland's official participation at the Asia Financial Forum.

Under the direction of Minister of State Simon Harris, Ireland's Minister for Financial Services, this forms part of the roll-out - in China, including Hong Kong - of Ireland's INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES 2020 STRATEGY.

Closer Irish links are being forged with China/Hong Kong in the broad Financial Services space, including by the Irish Finds industry which has some €3.6 trillion under management in Ireland.
