Visa Fees for applicants residing in China

For all visa applicants residing in China (including Hong Kong and Macau)

The Irish Naturalisation & Immigration Service has outsourced the function for collection and return of visa applications in China to VFS Global. You must use the service of VFS Global to submit your visa application in China.  

You will be required to pay a service charge to VFS Global. This fee is separate to the visa processing fee.

 

Both the visa processing fee and the VFS Global service chargemust now be paid onlineNo cash payments will be accepted. You will be directed to the VFS online payments portal, following completion of your online visa application.

Beneficiary of Directive 2004/38/EC (the 'Free Movement Directive')

If you are a beneficiary of Directive 2004/38/EC (the 'Free Movement Directive') ie. a 'qualifying family member' of an EU/EEA/Swiss Citizen, you are required to attend a Visa Application Centre (VAC) for the purpose of providing your biometric information. You will be required to pay the service charge at a reduced rate.

Multiple Journey Visa

The issuance of a multiple journey visa will be at the discretion of the Visa Officer. If you apply for a multiple journey visa but are only granted a single journey, the difference in cost cannot under any circumstances be refunded to you.

 

Appeals

No additional fee is charged for appeals of visa decisions.
