Malta Comic Con 2015

The 7th Annual edition of Malta Comic Con 2015 is almost here!

The Embassy of Ireland is proud to support the initiative and assist travelling to Malta through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's Cultural Relations Fund.

The Malta Comic Con was first organized in 2009 by Wicked Comics, 'a voluntary organisation aimed at promoting the comic culture both in Malta and abroad', and has been held annually ever since. The 2-day event aims to provide an opportunity for creators to meet their fans, and enthusiasts to learn more about this component of popular culture.

The event will be both entertaining and educational with material specifically intended for children as well as a mature audience, celebrating comic creators, comic books, books, movies, TV series, table top games, video games, role playing games, cosplaying and virtually anything related to comic culture.

This year's Comic Con will be held on Saturday 5th and 6th December at Magazino Hall and the Old Power House a the Valletta Waterfront. Doors open from 10am till 6pm on Saturday and 11am till 7 pm on Sunday. Tickets are selling €12 for one day or €20 for 2 days, whilst children under the age of 11 will not require a ticket.

This year the Irish animator and illustrator Clíodhna also known as ztoical, will be one of the guests at Malta Comic Con 2015.

A brief introduction to Clíodhna can be found on the Malta Comic Con website. You can follow her on Twitter while her work can be viewed on her website.
