The 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea

The World University Games are well underway in Gwangju, South Korea. Some 20,000 athletes and officials have arrived in the city to take part. Ireland have sixty-four high performance competitors in athletics, swimming, golf, archery, judo, and mens and womens football.

Ambassador O'Donoghue joins the Irish athletes for lunch in the Athletes’ Village in Gwangju.

Ambassador Aingeal O’ Donoghue travelled to Gwangju to welcome Team Ireland to Korea for the 2015 World University Games, where she met with our athletes, and was given a tour of the Athletes’ Village. The Irish Association of Korea also provided a bus for supporters to travel from Seoul to cheer our athletes on. The Games run from 3-14 July.
