Minister Creed led a delegation of Irish food sector companies to Korea from 15-17 November on a successful Bord Bia trade mission. The purpose of the trade mission was to highlight Ireland’s reputation as a producer of high quality, safe and sustainably produced food and to support the advancement of future relationships in the agriculture and food sectors. Minister Creed met the Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs H.E. Kim Yung-rok and the Minister of Food and Drug Safety H.E. Ryu Youngjin during his visit to further strengthen the political, diplomatic and trade links between the two countries.

Minister Creed and Bord Bia CEO Tara McCarthy met with key partners for Irish companies in the meat and dairy sector and highlighted Ireland’s pioneering sustainability initiative ‘Origin Green’. They also used a number of speaking engagements to address Korea’s leading industry, media and food professionals on the topics of Ireland’s commitment to high quality produce, production methods and sustainability.
