Liberian Law Enforcement Officers Graduate from Irish Aid Funded Training

90 members of Liberia’s law enforcement agencies attended a graduation ceremony at the LNP Training Academy in Paynesville, a suburb of Liberia’s capital, Monrovia, to celebrate their successful completion of courses such as a Post-graduate Diploma in Public Administration, a Post-graduate Certificate in Public Administration, and a Certificate in Administration and Management.

As of March 2016, the Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MEST) reports that 14,500 pregnant teenage girls country wide, are now attending the bridging education process supported by DFID and Irish Aid.

Fourteen senior officers from the Liberia National Police, the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization and the Drug Enforcement Agency have been sponsored by Irish Aid to attend a four-month post-graduate course at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
