Documentary screening – “1916: The Irish Rebellion”

To mark the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising, a key event in the establishment of an independent Irish state, the Embassy of Ireland is screening a documentary, “1916: The Irish Rebellion”.

This film, produced by Radio Telefís Éireann in collaboration with the Keogh Naughton Institute at the University of Notre Dame, is narrated by Liam Neeson. It presents the historical context of the Rising and its significance in world history. The film will be introduced, in English, by prof. dr. John McCourt of Roma Tre University. Simultaneous translation into Slovene will be provided.
