Visit of Minister Charles Flanagan to the UAE 2016
Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Charles Flanagan TD, visited the UAE in November of 2016. The visit included meetings with HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, HE Hussain Bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister for Education, and HE Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs."

Easter Rising Centenary Celebrations UAE
Celebrations were held at the Embassy Residence in Abu Dhabi to mark the Centenary of the Easter Rising. Guest of Honour, HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, members of the Irish and Emirati communities, the Diplomatic Corps and the British Ambassador were among an audience of 180 guests.
During his speech, HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development extended his wishes for the "prosperity and continued well-being" of the Irish people."
