St. Patrick’s Day

Every year around the world, including Zambia, there are great celebrations of all things Irish on St. Patrick's Day - March 17th - and in the days and weeks around it. The Embassy participates in and organises special events and uses the opportunity to promote Ireland.

There is also the Wild Geese Society in Zambia which has been in existence for more than 50 years. The Society organises a lot of activities around St. Patrick's Day, and throughout the year, that promote Irish culture.
