CG Frankfurt Speaker Series
Event
15 July 2020 - 15 July 2020Venue: Online
Time: 19:30-21:00
We are excited to announce that we are launching a Speaker Series on Wednesday, July 15. The Speaker Series will feature Irish people doing interesting things in our area of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. Each event will involve the person featured talking about their work and life in Germany (without delving into specifics too much). We hope that the Speaker Series will be enlightening and informative, without being too serious. It may even inspire other Irish people to follow in their footsteps and pursue their goals here in Germany.
For our first event, the speaker will be Dr Donal Coffey. Dr Coffey is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin. He was a lecturer at the Universities of Portsmouth and Surrey in the UK before moving to Frankfurt in 2016. He has written two very well regarded books on Irish constitutional history.
The talk will start at 19:30 on July 15 and will be held via Zoom – to sign up, please register via Eventbrite. We of course hope to organise this and similar events at the Consulate when the conditions permit.
This will be our last public event of the summer, so it is definitely worth signing up to before the break.
If you have an idea for a future speaker from the region, please do get in touch with us.
