Christmas Message from Anita Kelly Consul General

Dear Friends of Ireland,

I wish you all a Happy Christmas, as we look forward with optimism to 2023, and I want to share with you the Consulate newsletter for 2022. 

Christmas is a very special time of the year for many Irish people, a time when we come together to celebrate family and friendship.  As I look forward to Christmas, I am thinking of home, and I am constantly reminded of Indo-Irish similarities, not least in our common values, our respect for family and faith, and the warmth of our peoples.   I am truly privileged by the warm welcome I have received since arrival, together with my husband Mícheál, in September.  

I look forward to 2023 with great enthusiasm as I, and my Team Ireland colleagues, work to promote Ireland’s economic interests and a greater awareness of Ireland, here in Mumbai, and in Western India.  I would very much welcome your ideas for potential collaboration, and would like to encourage you to get in touch via our website.
