Emigrant Support Programme 2020/21 grant round now open

The Government of Ireland is committed to strengthening the international Irish community and its relationship with Ireland. To support Irish communities abroad, the Emigrant Support Programme (ESP) provides funding for organisations dedicated to celebrating Irish culture and heritage, addressing the evolving needs of Irish emigrants, and supporting intergenerational links between the older and younger members of Irish communities.

The 2020/21 grant round for the Emigrant Support Programme is now open. The closing time and date for applications is 5.30pm (GMT) on Wednesday, 19th February 2020. Organisations with projects that have a clear and identifiable impact on building global Irish communities are welcome to apply. Projects should be:

  • Collaborative in nature
  • Supportive of intergenerational links
  • Reflective of diversity within the Irish diaspora and Irish communities
  • Supportive of new emigrants
  • Focused on emotional wellbeing

Applications must be made online at http://www.irishabroadgrants.ie. In advance of applying, organisations must register for a username and password, which will be automatically generated and immediately emailed back to organisations. Further information about the application process can be found here.
