Minister Coveney visits the Slovak Republic
Ireland's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. Simon Coveney visited the Slovak Republic on July 7th, 2017 and was warmly welcomed by Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
During his visit, Minister Coveney discussed a range of issues, including Brexit and the Future of the EU, with his Slovak counterpart, Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic. The visit also provided Minister Coveney with the opportunity to address a conference of Slovak Ambassadors. His address focused on Brexit and the implications for the island of Ireland, including the challenges posed to the peace process. Minister Coveney also held a discussion with senior Irish business people resident in the Slovak Republic.
