It is the only postal application method accepted in Ireland for passport applications. We will not process passport applications submitted by ordinary or registered post. We will send these applications back to you unprocessed.

  • Collect an APS 1E passport application form from a Garda station or An Post office.
  • Complete your application form.
  • Bring your application form and documents to any An Post office.
  • Buy a Post Passport envelope.
  • Give your application to a counter clerk.
  • Pay with cash or credit/debit card.
  • Your receipt will have a tracking number on it that you can use to make enquiries about your application.
